Fosters were commissioned to design the new architecture for
Cathay's Cabin lounge at HKIA. We were brought in to work between
Cathay and Fosters and Partners to develop the interior mood and
finishes and ensure that they expressed Cathay's brand
We looked at how to define how the Cathay brand should be experienced, looking at all the brand touch points, including how materials and a sense of touch could showcase Cathay Pacific's exemplary service.
The overall space was designed to feel streamlined and clean, a nod to the legacy of Pawson's original designs for the lounges, whilst mirroring the fact that this was a fast-paced area for short relaxation with an average stay of just 30 mins.
