We were approached by international trends platform PSFK to develop a new concept for their 2017 report: The Future of Retail. The future of retail is enhanced by smart technologies. In our concept we explored how artificial intelligence can be used intuitively and invisibly for Loewe. AI creates understanding of the instinctive emotions of customers informing their key motivations and behaviours in store. This empowers staff with multiple layers of empathic intelligence and enables them to deliver impeccable customer service.
The three imperceptible layers are; Movement, revealing insights about mood and emotion. Expression, reading facial expressions to inform staff on preferences and interests regarding the collection. Connection, measuring temperature and heartbeat to inform staff on excitement and interest.
Customers receive a scholar's stone as a reward for their purchase. The object, enhanced with an RFID tag, can connect to a smartphone and stream Loewe's fashion shows.
This concept enables the ultimate future service, supporting staff and customer experiences in a personal, primal and emotively-charged way.
