Feeling summer isn’t about material things or products, it's that amazing pressure-drop feeling we all get when the sun comes out. Our challenge was to conjure up this happy summer feeling in the minds passers-by to Topshop’s London flagship store in London’s Oxford Street to launch their new swimwear collection.

Taste the summer

We didn’t stifle our ambitions, proposing to fill Topshop with a waterslide that snaked through all the floors to the basement, where the swimmer collection was launched. The store was infused with the scents of pineapples and coconut sun-tan lotion. Milk Train created candy floss-wrapped ice creams, while VR in the window allowed visitors to stream through a virtual waterslide, up and out of the store into a bikini paradise.

Super-shopping sparks

Topshop Splash! has received over 6.9 million media impressions, featured in Teen Vogue, The Evening Standard and over 30 international publications.

Featured on Channel 4’s ‘Super Shoppers’, presenters Sabina Grant and Anna Richardson said ‘It was mad, I didn’t even go in their wanting swimwear but after going on the waterslide I came out with two bikinis”.
